WISDOM and INSPIRATION 101 – 018

Life is what we make believe it is. Nothing more.  How dare we judge another!

Image

We have spent our entire lives perceiving information, judging it, categorizing and filing it.

Whether we sort laundry, file away last year’s tax records or plan a vacation, the process is the same.

We appear to be judgment-making robots. What’s more, we think we are right when,
in fact, there are no absolutes. What exists can be categorized simply as that which works for us
and that which does not—at this particular moment!

Obviously, a good choice for you might easily be a bad choice for me.
That doesn’t make you wrong or bad; nor does it make me right or good.

There are more than six and a half billion people living on this planet
and yet no two people live in the same world!

Instead of judging others, practice acceptance. We can overcome fear and judgment through love,
forgiveness, gratitude, letting go and trusting our eternal connection to the One—All There Is.

Always remember — “In the game of life, who LOVES the most — WINS!”

WISDOM and INSPIRATION 101 – 017

2004-5

The consequences of being critical, judgmental or just complaining.

You get to:
• Watch people’s faces drop and spirits sink.
• Teach children that they are inadequate or unlovable.
• Create bad feelings everywhere you go.
• Perpetuate racism and war-like thinking.
• Nip creativity in the bud.
• Teach intolerance.
• Start arguments.
• Alienate people.
• Hurt those who love you.
• Attract criticism to yourself.
• Bring distress to a peaceful place.
• Stifle the dynamics of unity.
• Add stress to your life and everyone else’s.
• Create the conditions that enable disease to
 destroy mind and body.
• Create discontent in the work place.
• Invalidate and intimidate others.
• Break people’s hearts and will.
• Break up families.
• Make it known that you are maintaining a loveless soul.
• Make yourself feel that you are better than
someone else. (That doesn’t mean others will agree.)

Always remember — “In the game of life, who LOVES the most — WINS!”

Out on the limb.

A Bubblews writer told of his sister’s illness.
He felt that life wasn’t fair. She had a rough life.

This is delicate ground because I want to help, but what I have to say
can easily be taken wrong. This was my feeble attempt to turn the problem around.
I know dwelling on a problem brings more of the same.
I know loving life, trusting God and planning wellness and happiness brings
those things you want into your life.

The problem is, if you say the person can change their thinking and attract better results,
they may consider that you mean the person was bad and by wrong thinking brought this on herself.

How do you say it right? Your sister through her beliefs allowed for this catastrophe but …

and I said this to MYSELF when I had cancer… “If I am powerful enough to create a life with cancer,
then I am powerful enough to create a healthy life by changing my thinking!”

It worked for me. I was healed!

Here’s what I commented. I hope he understands my heart is not criticizing, just offering a powerful healing truth.

“Sorry to hear about your sister.
If I say life IS fair, I will offend you because you might think
I am saying she gets what she deserves. I don’t mean that.
I don’t believe she is being punished or that she is
a bad person at all.
I do believe we create or attract EVERYTHING in our lives. I tell you that because
I don’t want for you or her to believe you are helpless.”

“IF, we believe we are a victim, we are a victim. If we are kind and loving and believe life is against us, it is against us.”

“We are and we receive what we believe and what we think about.”

“This is a difficult time to start working on what she ‘did wrong.’ DON’T GO THERE! Not necessary.
Focus on where she WANTS to go and tell her to know the ENTIRE UNIVERSE will support her in her desire
to be well and free.”

“I hope you take this all the right way. There is no criticism intended. We are human and buy into stuff. All of us.
I mean this discussion as a path to well-being.
God Bless her, you and the whole family!”

Let’s all say a prayer for them….

Always remember — “In the game of life, who LOVES the most — WINS!”

You are wrong!

Me? No! Why?
Because I can’t be.
It would mean I am less.

It is important that we care about our own happiness and the happiness of others enough
to give up trying to make them wrong so we can look good.

We don’t have to be right!
NO! YOU DON”T!

At first, this concept sounds threatening. Believe me…
In spite of what we’ve always been told, we don’t have to be right all of the time!

Take a deep breath and let go. Now doesn’t that feel better?

Once we realize we don’t need to always be right, life becomes a whole lot freer and easier!

You might have heard it spoken this way, “Do you want to be happy or do you want to be right?”

The continual need to justify oneself precludes happiness for both parties.

You never heard this before? It is because those who taught us how we were supposed to be, criticized us!
THEY thought they needed to be “right.” Putting others down got the job done!

Criticism is attack and as such destroys. What’s more, the criticized party usually defends himself
by mentally making his critic wrong.
We usually accomplish nothing trying to convince someone that he is wrong.

Better to let him know we care and want to help.

HERE IS HOW TO CHANGE THE WORLD
STARTING TODAY:

–Lavish appreciation and encouragement on everyone.
–Teach gratitude and healthy values by being grateful and joyful.
–Assist kindly those who are making mistakes.
–Give encouragement.
–Accept what you cannot change and move forward from there.

Can you imagine a world where we all behave as if we really want harmony?

Always remember — “In the game of life, who LOVES the most — WINS!”

How You Can Change Your World

We must start with ourselves, that is,
how we view the world and how others
view the world because we are in it.

How would I begin?

I would choose a possible category for change and make that change in myself.
Example, if I were given the power to cure one illness that haunts mankind,
I would pass up cancer, breeze by AIDS, and overlook heart disease because
curing the malady I have in mind might help cure the others as a side effect.

The cure I would seek would be the cure for Criticism.

No disease shrivels up the souls of innocent children, destroys the family unit,
damages the business place, incapacitates government, or produces stress like criticism.

The terrible three (criticism, judgmentalism, and complaint) do more to dishearten the spirit
and, in general create misery, pain, and sorrow than anything else I have ever encountered.
We need to create an awareness of the damage done by blame, censure, ridicule, judgment,
complaint, condemnation, and criticism.

I speak not of sharing information that assists people or teaches. I am speaking of the
type of criticism that invalidates and demoralizes. Helping others doesn’t include being
rude, upsetting or uncaring.

Always remember — “In the game of life, who LOVES the most — WINS!”

Things are mostly NOT what they seem.

You’ve heard this saying a million times:
“Seeing is believing.”

In my book, “Yours—A Rich, Full Life” I say it this way:

The words “Optical Illusion” indicate a powerful Truth so many are ignoring:

EVERYTHING IS NOT AS IT SEEMS.

The eagle you see on my shoulder in the pic above is really 4 feet behind me.

We fool ourselves assuming and generalizing.

Look at the horizon. I looks straight and things moving away get smaller until they disappear.
The planet is round and things don’t shrink as they gain distance.

To your eyes, railroad tracks come together at a distance. But not in reality.

Your eyes cannot tell you if you are looking at one whom you love… your heart does that.
The eyes are generally following false logic.

A magician makes you look and feel like a fool. He tricks your eyes.

Even emotionally, people go through life thinking certain others hate them, when that person
has no anger nor disgust in their mind … it is just a misperception.

Most things are not what they seem …

DON’T BUY INTO THINGS YOU SEE, HEAR OR FEAR.

LEAN TOWARD LOVE AND HAPPINESS AND YOU’LL FIND THAT YOUR EXPRESSION OF THEM IS REAL!

Always remember — “In the game of life, who LOVES the most — WINS!”

MORE OR LESS … WHICH IS BETTER?

My newest motto is this: “Less is More.”

Sounds like a dichotomy, but it isn’t.
Here are two examples:

(1) I’m playing tennis very hard and making too many mistakes.
I realize I am trying too hard, so I slow down and just basically hit the ball
back and smoothly regain my rhythm. By working less, I get more points
and more satisfaction. (Less frustration too!)

(2) A woman feels the need to own everything she sees. She shops and buys
on credit all the time.
A- She is in debt. This creates pressure.
B- It takes space to store her “stuff.” Space costs.
C- It takes time to care for her stuff. Time isn’t just money. Time is your life!
She is spending her very LIFE on things that perish.
She is losing the game of life and lives in overwhelm and false values.
What is her true life worth? She isn’t valuing it well.

Another woman is frugal and is careful with her budget.
She buys what she needs but lives simply.
A-She has money to fall back on in the event of a real need.
B- She has space to live, move and breathe in her clean home.
C- She has more time to do the things she loves and to care for herself.
D- She is living a rich, full life because she is free of clutter and waste.

Less is more and apparently, more might just be less.

Always remember — “In the game of life, who LOVES the most — WINS!”
